W5S2: Class - Critique with Tristam and Phoebe

Posters

Make the logos bigger.
Move the rest of the headline up closer to the image and try putting it on an angle so that it feels connected to the action.
'Be a beach hero' needs to be bigger than the copy about the place, date and time as it is your call-to-action.
Consider a different font for the copy.
The date and time does not need to be so large.
Put the website on the poster so that people don't necessarily have to get the flyer to get more information.

The brown is too dark - consider making it lighter or using another colour.

Flyer

Poster style is stronger so bring this in line with them (more white space etc).
Don't show the boy's face so that kids can imagine/put themselves as the hero.

N.B. Phoebe asked if we were doing a girl version but we explained that we thought once we started trying to cater to different sexes then it could evolve into "Why are they white, why isn't there a Maori version?" etc and it would be hard to draw the line.

If the copy font is changed on the posters change it on here too.

Third Item(s)

Make the t-shirt more fun and exciting for a kid to wear (like the cape). Use different imagery - maybe the onomatopoeia style.

Too busy, doesn't need the background. Try making it more like the posters.
The animals are a cute addition that children would appreciate.
