We got split into groups and given a character from The Simpsons to use in a target audience exercise. Our group was given Lisa.
We had to chose the topic of either a beach cleanup day or a neighbourhood gathering (the same topics we have to choose from for our assignment). Our group chose a beach cleanup day as we felt this would already appeal to Lisa. We had to then think of ways we could persuade Lisa to come to the beach cleanup day - things that would appeal to her.
We then had to use come up with two quick A3 poster concepts based on ways we though we could appeal to Lisa and call her to action.
I think this task was really helpful as it showed me how you can target a really specific audience.
