W4S2: Class

We printed off all of the posters we had made overnight and got our peers and Phoebe to critique them.


Critique Comments:

• The beach scene is too realistic looking/not cartoon enough
• Shelby's new illustration style would be quite appealing for kids, maybe try making the superhero character in that style and insert him into one of those scenes
• Like the plain sandy coloured background and also the white background with the beach cut out of a shape on it - play with these more
• Maybe try brighter more saturated colours
• There are three strong ideas - superhero character, simple vector-like illustrations, and onomatopoeia concept - so maybe try to merge all three into a cohesive style/approach

We also talked to Phoebe about our third item; the personalised storybook. She said that it would be too big of a task to undertake, even if we only made a short story, and that we should do something more simple like a mug etc that could still relate to our target audience.
